Practice mindfulness… reduce stress and suffering in your life, and throughout our community.
This group is free and open to all levels of meditators. Please note, however, that the group is more practice-oriented with less formal instruction. If you would like more guidance on the formal practices of mindfulness, please consider signing up for an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Class.
You don’t need to sign up in advance. Just come if you are able. Please do your best to arrive at least 5 minutes early to settle in. Chairs are provided. You’re welcome to bring a meditation bench or cushion.
The general format of our meeting will be:
- 5 minute arrival meditation
- 10-15 minute talk on mindfulness
- 30 minutes of practice (partially guided)
- 10 minutes of discussion
