Looking for a community to meditate with? Need a little motivation to restart – or support – your ongoing meditation practice?
Meditation doesn’t have to be something you only do alone. Taking a class with a group can energize and support your commitment to an ongoing meditation practice.
What you should know about this group: it’s free and open to all levels of meditators. It’s more practice-oriented with less formal instruction. Note: if you’d like more guidance on the formal practices of mindfulness, consider signing up for an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Class.
You don’t need to sign up in advance. Just come if you’re able. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to settle in. Chairs and meditation cushions are provided.
The general format of our session will be:
- 5 minute arrival meditation
- 10-15 minute talk on mindfulness
- 30 minutes of practice (partially guided)
- 10 minutes of discussion
