‘Tis the Season for Mama-Care: 5-Minute Guided Breath Awareness Meditation

guided mindfulness meditation by breon michel

As the Zen saying goes, “You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day – unless you’re too busy. Then you should sit for an hour.”

I agree that we need meditation most when life is distracting and hectic. But for mamas who don’t regularly practice meditation, even 20 minutes of stillness at this busy time of year may not bode well.

How about taking a mere 5 minutes to pause and breathe?

Over the holidays when your plate is fuller than normal, taking a few quiet moments to reset yourself makes it easier to negotiate holiday stressors and squeeze more joy out of the season.

Try this simple 5-minute breath awareness meditation to keep your spirit intact and stress at bay this holiday season.
