We go so fast and do much in our culture. Seldom taking time out of our busy, demanding lives for ourselves. It may seem that we don’t have time or that other things are more important. But over time, speeding through life on autopilot can be costly to our relationships, work effectiveness, and well-being.

Mindfulness provides a way to restore our hard-working minds and bodies, so that we can function optimally and live fully.

Join us for a daylong retreat as we explore powerful practices in mindfulness and self-compassion. Regain a calm, clear mind and return to your life with greater tolerance, balance, and ease.

What You Can Expect to Experience

  • Short talks interspersed with longer periods of guided mindfulness practice, including mindful yoga, mindful walking, sitting meditation, mindful eating, loving kindness and more.
  • Brief teachings on:
    • 3 Habits of Mind that Create Stress & How to Overcome Them
    • 3 Core Practices for Calm & Resilience in Everyday Life
  • Periods of silence to help you reconnect with calm, clear presence
  • Time to relax in a beautiful, scenic environment (free of distractions)
  • An opportunity to connect with like-minded people
  • Access to an online folder of guided meditations
  • A vegetarian lunch, selection of hot teas and drinking water are provided

This retreat is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators.

The Venue

The Durga Ranch Private Estate is just outside the town of Cave Creek, near Spur Cross Preserve. As this is a private residence, the address will be provided upon enrollment.

About the Facilitator

Breon Michel has been leading mind-body resilience programs and the world-renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for over a decade. Having been privileged to attend a number of extensive retreats with the world’s leading mindfulness teachers, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Bob Stahl, Sharon Salzberg, Tara Brach, and Howard Cohn, Breon’s aim is to pay forward these powerful teachings to everyday people who want to recharge their mind and body + reclaim peace and joy in everyday life.
